This was a super hard find!!! I wanted an "entertainment center" with doors that closed when the TV was not in use. I wanted it sized to fit a large screen LCD/Plasma TV and I wanted it to fit in with my eclectic decorative style. Even not considering style at all, I could not find an entertainment center anywhere that would fit a large screen lcd/plasma with doors that closed so that it would look like a regular piece of furniture when not in use. I was thrilled to find this center!!! Even better, it fits in perfectly with my decorating style!! I didn't see it in the product details, but it even has a built in power strip to connect all your components to without the huge ball of cords mess you usually end up with behind your tv stands! The quality of this piece is also outstanding in my opinion and just so happened to be made in a Virginia factory, so I feel great that I was able to buy local!!! This particular Virginia furniture company is known for quality high end furniture. Its a bit more pricey than other items you can find, but there are no laminates, its all quality components, and the prices are going to be higher than that made in China item since in Virginia they are going to have to pay a worker more than 10 cents a day. Anyhow, if you can afford it, I don't think you will regret it. I love it!
Service and delivery comments:
delivery was beyond my expectations. The unit comes fully assembled which is great because no matter how well you try to put together those "requires minor assembly" pieces, they always seem to get lose over time and seem cheap. The delivery guys delivered it like any fine furniture you'd order from a local furniture company instead of like UPS on your front porch. They brought the stand to its final location, unpackaged it and placed it where I wanted it.They were even going to set the tv in it, but I declined telling them my husband would want to organize it all. Very happy overall with purchase and delivery.
